The Canadian Broadcasting Corporation, better known in Canada as the CBC, (French: Société Radio-Canada), branded as CBC/Radio-Canada, is the Canadian public broadcaster for both radio and television. It is a Crown corporation that serves as the national public broadcaster, with its English-language and French-language service units commonly known as CBC and Radio-Canada, respectively.

Although some local stations in Canada predate the CBC's founding, the CBC is the oldest existing broadcasting network in Canada, established on November 2, 1936.
