Notes Combmarbled endleaves. With the bookplate of Thos Gaisford. According to Alvise Figa' Talamanca, Foscarini's de luxe red goatskin (morocco) bindings were made in Rome, where he was ambassador from 1736 to 1740. This is likely to be number 2361 in the Catalogo della biblioteca Foscarini ai Carmini vendibile a Venezia nell'anno 1800. The Folger Shakespeare Library also has Foscarini bindings.
