English: Memorial monument to the poet Giovanni Battista Niccolini, by Pio Fedi (Basilica of Santa Croce, Florence). The sculpture represents the Libery of Poetry, who holds a lyre in her right hand and a laurel wreath in her left hand. The broken chain sybolizes defeated tyranny.
