George Monck, 1st Duke of Albemarle (6 December 16083 January 1670) was an English general and politician.

  • Little General Monck
    Sat upon a trunk,
    Eating a crust of bread;
    There fell a hot coal
    And burnt in his clothes a hole,
    Now little General Monck is dead.
