Jagdish Chandra Mathur (1917-1978) was a Hindi playwright and writer. He came into fame by his first play Konark. He was born on 16 July 1917 in a village near Khurja. His other famous works includes Phela Raja, Shardiya, Dasrath Nandan, Bhor ka Tara and Oo mere Sapne.
