The importance of understanding Geography

I am not sure if Geography is taught as an important subject around the world. In my school it was, and I am ashamed to say, I did not pay much attention. If I could go to school again, this is one of the topics I would certainly pay more attention to

I know nothing about Ghana for example, other than it is somewhere in Africa. I don't know when it became a country, how many people live there, what language/s they speak, what the major cities are, etc. Lucky for me I can participate here and learn Ottawahitech (talk) 20:37, 11 December 2022 (UTC)
