Did D.H. Lawrence write this?[edit]

The following quotation has been spreading around the Internet, attributed to D.H. Lawrence, but it's not (yet) on the Wikiquote page. Does anyone know if it's correctly attributed, and/or can anyone give a verifiable citation of its source? Embram (talk) 05:13, 11 December 2019 (UTC)Reply

"Men fight for liberty and win it with hard knocks. Their children, brought up easy, let it slip away again, poor fools. And their grandchildren are once more slaves"

Addendum: Never mind, I've found it and added it to the page. I've bolded it since it's gone viral and is now among the most quoted of his poems.Embram (talk) 19:28, 11 December 2019 (UTC)Reply
