Australia's Naughtiest Home Videos is an Australian television comedy programme which was broadcast on Nine Network on 3 September 1992. It was a one-off special spin-off of Australia's Funniest Home Video Show, depicting videos of sexual situations and other sexually explicit content. The programme was notably taken off the air partway through the broadcast of its first and only episode on the order of network owner Kerry Packer.

Doug Mulray[edit]

Doug Mulray: Warning: this is an adults-only program, not--I repeat, not Australia's Funniest Home Video Show. Certain scenes and language may offend some wussy girls, plowers, and (mock lisp) nancy-boy viewers. Australia's Naughtiest Home Videos is a one-off presentation. So off, it'll...only be on once. Ha! (blows raspberry) Oh, so sophisticated.

Announcer: This is Australia's Naughtiest Home Videos! The program recommended by 9 out of 10 butlers, 4 out of 5 social workers, and 2 out-of-work truck drivers!

Doug Mulray: Thank you and welcome to the most sensational collection of home videos since Rodney King nicked out one night for pizza recently.

2008 rebroadcast[edit]

Bert Newton: (introduction) Good evening, and welcome to Australia's Naughtiest Home Videos, a program that made history for all the wrong reasons. Now, anybody who's been in the TV business has had a show cancelled. It might be after a season, a-a few weeks? Even, God forbid, after the first episode. But during the first episode? Only one show has suffered that kind of embarassment, and it suffered it because it embarassed the boss! In 1992, Kerry Packer famously called his own station, and demanded, in...a few choice words, that the show be taken off the air immediately, which it was, never to be seen again...until now. Tonight, sixteen years later, we're going to show you what some people found so offensive back in the twentieth century. Ladies and gentlemen, finally, in all its disgusting glory, hosted by Doug Mulray....it's Australia's Naughtiest Home Videos.

Announcer: (programme cuts midway through to a card of the network's ident) We apologise for this interruption. Unfortunately, a technical problem prevents us continuing our scheduled programme for the moment. In the meantime, we bring you a brief, alternative programme.
Intro: (brief clip of Cheers theme tune is shown) Sometimes you wanna go where everybody knows your name...
Bert Newton: Cheers, where everybody knows your name. And certainly, everybody knew Doug Mulray's name. Anyone still watching back in 1992 who wasn't scandalized by the smut was expecting more of the same. Instead, they got that announcement of technical difficulties which you heard, which was true! It's technically very difficult to keep a show on air, with Mr. Packer on the phone yelling at you! So, from this point on, the show's a premiere presentation: not exactly brand new, but never before seen on TV. Now, where were we?

Bert Newton: (conclusion) Well, there you go, that's it. I hope you enjoyed the program; if not, on behalf of the network, I apologize again. As it turns out, Mr. Packer may have been absolutely right. Good night. (phone rings. Bert picks it up and looks shocked) Where are you calling from?!
