Black Clover

Black Clover (ブラッククローバー) is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Yūki Tabata. It has been serialized in Shueisha's shōnen manga magazine Weekly Shōnen Jump since February 2015, with its chapters collected in 35 tankōbon volumes as of June 2023. Set in a world where everyone is given the ability to use magic, the story follows Asta, a young boy born without any magic power who is given a rare grimoire that grants him anti-magic abilities. With his fellow mages from the Black Bulls, Asta plans to become the next Wizard King.

Episode 71

Mereoleona : "Lady Acier, the Magic Knights need you to return to your post as soon as you recover. I honestly don't understand why you would put your life in such danger."

Acier Silva : "I know that I don't need to remind you, but once the Magic Knights decide to enter the fray, they never stop fighting in order to protect the Clover Kingdom and its people, even if it means they must put their own lives on the line."

Acier Silva: "You see, having a child is no different. When a woman is carrying a baby, she will do whatever is necessary to prevent any harm from befalling that innocent life. That's what being a mother is, Mereoleona."

Rhya: Too bad, your worthless human race is finished.

Marx(Elf Spirit): It should be obvious we are not the ones who inhabited these forms. No, We're the Elves. The race lived in this world long ago before we were slaughtered by you humans.

Owen(Elf Spirit): This time it is humanity that will be eliminated with no survivors. The same as before.

Randall(Elf Spirit): I'll keep fighting until everyone of you humans is destroyed.

Leopold: Don't give me that! Did you forget? We were trained by two magic knight captains who ever lived. We are the proud and mighty squad, known as the Crimson Lion Kings. Giving up and losing our teeth is we don't do.

Randall(Elf Spirit): Come on, drop dead already.

In rare cases, a deeply heartfelt wish can grant power in time of crisis. Many royal mages able to acquire spells intuitively by employing their unique prowess and natural resourcefulness because of their advantage those individuals rarely undergo training. Although Noelle possessed considerable magic power and talent. She also worked hard to improve herself and risked her life many times in combat alongside the black bulls. Asta: I get it. You were tricked. You couldn't protect the ones you loved and everything you once believed in was lost. You're dealing with so many crazy feelings, you can't stand it anymore. But that's why, I have to tell you this. DON'T YOU DARE GIVE UP AGAIN. All you ever done is give up. Instead of facing your problems, you locked yourself away and hid in the darkness because you thought it was the easiest thing to do.

Just because you made a mistake that you can't fix, it doesn't mean you are allowed to runaway and cry. Think about it. Shouldn't you be trying to defeat that creepy devil guy too. YOU HAD THE GUTS TO MAKE EVERYTHING ELSE HAPPEN, RIGHT? YOU DID THAT! Maybe you weren't chosen, maybe no one wanted you and maybe you can't be forgiven; but you still have to stand your ground without making excuses for yourself!

Patry: Why are you trying so hard to change my mind? I know you are wrong. LEAVE ME ALONE!

Asta: I wasn't chosen. No one wanted me. I screwed some stuff up. But I made up my mind. I'm gonna be The Wizard King. That's why, AS LONG AS YOU ARE ALIVE, I WON'T GIVE UP ON YOU!
