Gypsy Taub
Oxane "Gypsy" Taub (born June 18, 1969) is a Russian American activist in the San Francisco public nudity movement. She was arrested in 2019 with charges related to a minor, and convicted of the charges in 2021. She was paroled midway into her four-year sentence in April 2023.
From 2000 to 2008, Taub lived in California with David DePape, a man who attacked Paul Pelosi in 2022. She protested his trial in 2024.

They ended up leaving with one of our puppies, but not the one we originally wanted to give away. The next day we decided to take the puppy back. We asked for it very politely, but got a very hostile response from Raven, John’s mother. That’s how our conflicts began. After 2 days of conflict we managed to get our puppy back. But ever since that incident Raven has absolutely hated me. She dedicated her life to destroying me and my children. When the puppy was returned, it got really sick and nearly died. About 2 weeks later he started having violent fits of rage that he has never had before. He started attacking us and other puppies. It took him about a year to stop being violent. It was clear that the puppy was very deeply traumatized when it was with Raven. We could conclude that Raven had tortured our dog. John’s friend Leo said that Raven had gone through three dogs in one year. Since then Raven has lost another dog. [edit]- On Monday, Taub handed out printed pieces of paper with the link to the website, as well as her phone number and email address. She even told reporters she was running the site to cast doubt on the state’s evidence in the case.

- DePape’s federal public defender said during his federal sentencing that DePape was first exposed to extreme beliefs by Taub, who has two children with DePape. Taub met DePape in Hawaii when he was 20 years old and she was in her 30s and pregnant, DePape’s twin sister, Joanne Robinson, said in a letter to the federal judge seeking leniency. Robinson wrote that Taub isolated DePape from his family and inflicted “extreme psychological damage” on her brother.
