Jacques Pierre Brissot (15 January 1754 – 31 October 1793) was a leading member of the the Girondins during the French Revolution and founder of the abolitionist Society of the Friends of the Blacks. He was convicted for spying and being a counter-revoluntionary and sentenced to death alongside 28 others on 30 October 1793 and was executed by guillotine the next day.
