Javanese language

Javanese (ꦧꦱꦗꦮ, basa Jawa) is the main indigenous language of the Indonesian island of Java, particularly in central, southern, eastern, and westernmost regions. Spoken by more than 110 million speakers (natively), it is considered as one of the world's most spoken languages. It served as the co-official language in some provinces of the Republic of Indonesia as well as one of the recognized languages in United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR).

Outside of Indonesia, the Javanese language also still commonly spoken by the Javanese diaspora across the globe, mainly in Suriname, New Caledonia, Carribean, and several Southeast Asian countries.
