Jeanne d'Arc Mujawamariya

Jeanne d'Arc Mujawamariya (born 13 March 1970) is a Rwandan politician and academic who was Minister of Environment from November 2019 to June 2024, and briefly Minister of Public Service and Labour from June to July 2024.

Born in Kigali, she holds a PhD in physical chemistry from the Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee in India. She served as Minister of State for Primary and Secondary Education (2003–2005) and for Higher Education (2005–2006), then as Minister of Education (2006–2008) and Minister in the Prime Minister's Office in charge of Gender and Family Promotion (2008–2011). She then served as Rector of the Kigali Institute of Science and Technology (2011–2013) and as Rwanda's Ambassador to Russia and Belarus (2013–2019). She speaks five languages.
