Dialogue[edit]

Dr. Leland J. Masterson: You like her?
Jan van Croft: Very pretty... Fascinating... As a dancer, of course!

Dr. Leland J. Masterson: I command, and thou shalt obey!
Grant Phillips: Is he kidding?
George: He ain't kiddin', mister. You'd better do as he says.
Dr. Leland J. Masterson: We fly, now.

Doreen Culbertson: Why do you ignore me?
Grant Phillips: Is that what you were thinking about?
Doreen Culbertson: Yes, and I resent it.
Grant Phillips: You're not used to it.
Doreen Culbertson: Do you really dislike me that much?
Grant Phillips: I don't dislike you, Miss Culbertson.
Doreen Culbertson: But you don't approve of me, is that it? You think I'm marrying him for his money.
Grant Phillips: Well, aren't you?
Doreen Culbertson: ...He can give me security, and that's important, don't you think?
Grant Phillips: Why should you care what I think?
Doreen Culbertson: I don't, exactly, it's just that... I'd like you to understand me.
[rustling]
Doreen Culbertson: What is it? [grasping his wrist]
Grant Phillips: I thought I heard something. No, I guess it wasn't anything. [looking at Doreen as she releases his wrist] Now, what were you saying?
Doreen Culbertson: I was saying that I'd like you to understand me.
Grant Phillips: I think I do understand you.
Doreen Culbertson: Oh no you don't! You can't!
