Miss Spider's Sunny Patch Kids
Miss Spider's Sunny Patch Kids is a 2003 Canadian computer-animated television special from Nelvana that premiered on Treehouse TV and Nick Jr. on March 31, 2003. It was based on David Kirk's book series of the same name and serves as the pilot to the show Miss Spider's Sunny Patch Friends. Voices included Brooke Shields, Rick Moranis and Tony Jay. The characters are CGI animated insects and arachnids in a relatively natural setting, but with anthropomorphic qualities appropriate for a children's story.

- Betty Beetle: I didn't know a thing about having a baby spider either. I had to make it all up too. But it doesn't matter if it's baby spiders, beetles, bedbugs or grubs... everything they need, you have already got right there in your heart, Flora.

- Spiderus: Em... Not quite. [chuckles] What if I squash little Holley out of the picture? Then you'd have to share my web.
- Miss Spider: No. Holley's the one I belong with, Spiderus.
- [Spiderus sighs, shaking Holley on the web.]
- Holley: Whoa! Whoa!
- Spiderus: Why Holley? Why not me? He's half a spider! A quadraped! A gnat, really. I'm asking you one last time, Flora. Will you share my web?
- Miss Spider: You'll find someone someday. Someone you belong with.
- Holley: [struggling to hold on the web] Flora?
- Spiderus: But what if I think that somebody's you?
- Miss Spider: I'm not. You'll know when it's the right someone.
- Spiderus: How?
- Miss Spider: Well, it's like getting tons of butterflies in your tummy. And everytime you see that someone, your heart sings.
- Spiderus: Hmm. Well, the only time I get butterflies is when I eat caterpillars.
- [Spiderus pulls Holley back up, and Holley hugs Miss Spider.]
- Holley: I always did want a big family.
- Miss Spider: Eight is a perfect number.
- Squirt: Yeah! We've got eight legs.
- Holley: And we have plenty of love to go around.
