Quotes[edit]

  • Just take a trifling handful, O philosopher!
    Of magic matter: give it a slight toss over
    The ambient ether—and I don’t see why
    You should n’t make a sky.

  • Life and the Universe show spontaneity;
    Down with ridiculous notions of Deity!
    Churches and creeds are lost in the mists;
    Truth must be sought with the Positivists.
    • The Positivists, reported in Bartlett's Familiar Quotations, 10th ed. (1919).
  • A man is as old as he's feeling, a woman is as old as she looks.
