Homeless Hare

Bugs Bunny[edit]

  • A man's home is his castle, and I'm staying right here, mac.

Dialogue[edit]

Bugs Bunny: Eh, what's up, doc?
Construction worker: Huh? Well, for your information, long-ears, we're building a freeway.
Bugs Bunny: Ohhhh, so that's it. I thought I was having a bad case of toimites. Well, thanks for the "info," pal. No hard feelings. Happy freeway. [goes down into his burrow briefly before resurfacing] FREEWAY? Hold it, mac! Hold it! Hoooooold it! There must be some mistake. You see, a freeway through here would wreck my home.

[After building a scaffold to the top of Bugs Bunny's pillar, the worker tries to light a big stick of dynamite, planning to blow up Bugs and his home.]
[Bugs Bunny lights a match at the bottom of his pillar, then blows it to the top of the scaffold. The match lights the dynamite prematurely.]
Construction worker: [successfully activates his lighter] Aaahh. [sees that the dynamite was already lit] Uh-oh.
[the resulting explosion causes the scaffold to disassemble, sending the worker falling a great height]
[After landing, the worker picks up the pieces of his scaffold, then walks in a dazed manner into his shelter, dropping many of the pieces along the way.]
