We're a small country with many different cultural backgrounds. We have a rich cultural heritage, which is something we are excited to show off as a result of our past. You have to remember that our nomadic culture and society were pretty much preserved as were up until thirty years ago (1990s). The economy changed to be more democratic, and tourism and business have opened up. As a result, we have managed to preserve our cultural heritage really well. We have a culture and nomadic lifestyle which is a bit different from what you may know, and so based on our nomadic history and background, our art and culture are very unique.
Mongolia has so much to offer in terms of unique natural beauty and the large urban city of Ulaanbaatar which employs many talented film professionals and modern production facilities. We are pleased to welcome some of the world's top studios to our country to highlight our very generous film rebates and showcase how Mongolia is open for international business and investment.
In order to preserve and maintain cultural heritages, promote history and culture, and pass them on to future generations, the Mongolian government is carrying out a number of significant construction projects. The Ministry of Culture is developing a strategy to boost the economic impact of these programs. It should be mentioned that the establishment of the Museum of Tonyukuk the Wise in the Nalaikh district of the capital city is directly tied to the policy goals of protecting and preserving cultural heritage and promoting economic growth. In addition, the importance of the project is further enhanced by the fact that it creates a good experience for the development of other valuable cultural heritage preserved in every corner of Mongolia according to this standard.
Tourism revenue has increased 2.8 times compared to 2022. Last year, we launched a partnership with Trip.com, enabling international travelers to book flights to Mongolia and purchase travel services directly. Additionally, to expand transportation capacity for tourists, we signed agreements on aviation relations with several countries and actively worked on securing flight permits. As a result, direct flights are now available to a total of 155 destinations. For the first time in history, Mongolia's air transport sector has served over 2 million passengers. Of the tourists visiting Mongolia, 47 percent are interested in eco and adventure tourism. Solo travel is becoming a global trend, making it essential for us to develop such experiences in line with international standards. Additionally, as artificial intelligence continues to advance in a big way, integrating technologies such as chatbots into our operations is crucial.
