Peeni Henare is a New Zealander politician who currently serves as the 41st Minister of Defence since 6 November 2020 and Minister for Whānau Ora since 26 October 2017. He previously served as the Minister for Youth in 2017–2020, Minister of Civil Defence in 2019–2020 and Minister for the Community and Voluntary Sector in 2017–2019.
