Peter Pan[edit]

  • She is a fairy. And if I know one thing about fairies, it's that they don't take kindly to being called bugs.
  • Were you expecting someone else?
  • Captain Hook. You're looking a little worse for wear, old man. You sure you won't be happier back in your sick-bed?
  • Dark and sinister man, prepare to meet thy doom.
  • Sad and sinister man... one last time.

Wendy Darling[edit]

  • I can fly!
  • I'm a Wendy. Wendy Moira Angela Darling. And I am from London, England where gentlemen do not harm children!
  • I don't know where my home is exactly... Or where I want it to be.
  • Think happy thoughts.
  • Boy... why are you crying?
  • I think that to grow up... Why, it might just be the biggest adventure of all.

Captain Hook[edit]

  • Never... say... his name.
  • Proud and insolent youth... have at me!
  • Wendy Moira Angela Darling. The little sing-song girl... of London, England. Your voice drew me back to my old home. Thank you.
  • How many times did we play hide-and-seek in these ruins? You were always the best at hiding. Then again, I was always the best... at FINDING YOU!
  • I've done it. I've killed Peter Pan.
  • This... is what growing up looks like.
  • [to Mr. Smee] NEVER CALL ME THAT! I... am Captain Hook.
  • Proud... and insolent youth... raise your sword.

Tinker Bell[edit]

  • Wendy... thank you for hearing me.

Tiger Lily[edit]

  • The first time I rode out on my own, [speaks in Cree, then in English] my great-great-grandmother, she came to me and said, "Feel the ground beneath your feet, so that your eyes can find the stars. Hold the past in your heart, but know that where you go from here, it's up to you."

Mr. Smee[edit]

  • Well, I rescued the Captain from the sea when he was scarcely taller than yourselves. Of course, he weren't captain then. He was just a little lost child, desperate to make it back to these fine shores before he got too old to enjoy them.

John Darling[edit]

  • This suddenly seems like a terrible idea.
  • We don't care about your rules. We came with Peter Pan.

Michael Darling[edit]

  • When Mr. Bear gets hurt, Mama gives him a kiss to make it better.
  • Don't you touch Mr. Bear!

Mary Darling[edit]

  • You can't stop time, Wendy. It'll march on whether you like it or not. Just imagine all the things you would miss out on, if you didn't see where it took you. And all the things the world would miss... if you weren't there to do them.

George Darling[edit]

  • You are too old for this to be the type of fun that you're having.

Dialogue[edit]

Mary: Wendy? May I come in? You really must set a better example for your brothers. They look up to you so much.
Wendy: That's what they have you for.
Mary: They need me to be their mother and your father to be their father. But they need you to be their big sister. You give them something that neither of us can. They will follow your lead, so you must be a good leader.
Wendy: How am I supposed to do that if I'm off at boarding school, Mother?
Mary: By going with your head held high to start with. If a young lady is lucky enough, at a certain age, she goes off to school. To get ready for the life ahead of her.
Wendy: What if I don't want that life?
Mary: It's what I did when I was your age.
Wendy: What if I don't want your life?
Mary: What is it that you're afraid of, my love?
Wendy: I want things to stay where they are.
Mary: The way they are? Wendy, look, you scarcely fit in your bed. You're growing up.
Wendy: Perhaps, I don't want to grow up.
Mary: You can't stop time, Wendy. It'll march on whether you like it or not. Just imagine all the things you would miss out on, if you didn't see where it took you. And all the things the world would miss... if you weren't there to do them.

[Tinker Bell flies into the house and blows pixie dust on Wendy, making her float in midair]
John: [catches her] Gotcha!
Wendy: [wakes up and falls to the floor] I can't... what was happening? Was I dreaming?
Michael: You were flying!
Wendy: How?
Michael: A little bug did it.
Wendy: I don't think that's a bug.
John: Well, it's a... It's a...
Peter Pan: [appears behind John and holds his sword above his shoulder] She is a fairy. And if I know one thing about fairies, it's that they don't take kindly to being called bugs.
Wendy: Are you...?
Michael: Peter Pan?
Peter Pan: Were you expecting someone else?
Wendy: We weren't expecting you at all.

Peter Pan: Is this everything you've dreamed of?
Wendy: I could never have dreamed of this!
Peter Pan: Come on, there's more!

Skylight: Oh, no! He's back! Hey! Get your eyes to the sky! The boy! He's back! [knocks on Captain Hook's cabin door]
Captain Hook: Yes, what?
Skylight: Uh, it's the boy, Captain. It's Peter Pa... [the cabin door blasts him down]
Captain Hook: Never... say... his name.
Skylight: Sorry, Captain.
Captain Hook: Mr. Smee! Smee, make a note. My cabin needs a new door.
Mr. Smee: A new door. Yes. Uh, right. Might I say, Captain, uh, that will be your third door this month.
Captain Hook: And it won't be the last.

Michael: That is one big crocodile.

Wendy: [to Tiger Lily] Aren't you coming?
Tiger Lily: No. It's their home, not mine. Not yours either, I don't think.
Wendy: I don't know where my home is exactly… Or where I want it to be.
Tiger Lily: You will. The first time I rode out in my own, [speaks in Cree, then in English] my great-great grandmother, she came to me and said, "Feel the ground beneath your feet, so that your eyes can find the stars. Hold the past in your heart, but know that where you go from here, it's up to you." Sleep tight, Wendy Moira Angela Darling. Then get home safe.

[Aboard the Jolly Roger pirate ship, Wendy, John, Michael, and the Lost Boys are all locked in a cellar]
Captain Hook: I want a word... with... [points his hook to Wendy] you.
Wendy: [breaths shuddering] I have nothing to say to you.
Captain Hook: Then listen. [starts humming the lullaby] What is that?
Wendy: Yeah, that's simply... That's just a lullaby.
Captain Hook: Yes, but why... does it remind me of something? [to Mr. Smee] Open this.
Mr. Smee: Yes. Keys, keys, keys. Where are the keys?
Captain Hook: Where does it come from? Tell me.
Wendy: I don't know.
Captain Hook: TELL ME! Why does it make me feel so…
Wendy: I couldn't say. It was just something my mother sings us.
Captain Hook: Your who?
Wendy: My mother.
Captain Hook: Yes, of course.
Wendy: I know you weren't always like this, Captain Hook. I know you and Peter were friends. I've heard the stories.
Captain Hook: Have you?
Wendy: You left Neverland. And when you returned, you were…
Captain Hook: Evil.
Wendy: Yes.
Captain Hook: Hmm. There's truth to that. But he left out the most important part. I didn't just leave Neverland.
Wendy: Peter made you go.
Captain Hook: There it is. That's the sticking point. My once and best friend banished me, all because I missed my... I... missed... my...
Wendy: Your mother?
Captain Hook: Yes, my mother. Who sang me that very song. Is it so terrible a thing, to miss a mother?
Wendy: No, of course, it's not.
Captain Hook: Tell that to your dearly departed friend, for he surely thought otherwise. And do you know, after all that, I never did find her. I never made it home. I never saw my poor, sweet mama, ever again. I left Neverland and I was lost at sea. I'd have surely perished, were I not saved by this man here. There I was, rescued and raised by pirates. And by-and-by, I became their Captain and I, in-turn brought them right back here.
Wendy: But why? Why come back at all, if Peter hurt you so?
Captain Hook: Because he was my friend. I'd been happy here.
Wendy: You could be happy again.
Captain Hook: No. My time for joy is lost. Everything I could have been has reduced to this. This... is what growing up looks like.
Wendy: No. This is what it looks like when you grow up wrong.
