The Dawn of Page[edit]

There are many excellent quotes from the novel version of 2001: A Space Odyssey that fall into three unofficial categories 1) artful descriptions of scenes from the film version, 2) descriptions or dialog that fill many of Kubrick's intentional narrative gaps in the film version, which serve to lead us out of the darkness about what was actually going on, 3) Profound commentary about evolution, technology, human history and physics, etc. that do not fit in either of the former categories.
