well the book shows you that the what exactly does the life means. when you dont have it & other have you want to get it with a belief that when i will achieve it i will change the way the people having it act, but when you get it you realise if you dont live the way the others did you will not be able to survive & when the people a part far from the situations look at it they conclude; POWER CORRUPTS. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 22.214.171.124 (talk • contribs) 22 June 2006, 23:39 (UTC)
I think that the book shows and clearly displays the major disadvantage of having a systems that allows a clear focus of power upon one person. This is shown by Napoleon the pig using barbaric, feindish and horriffic actions to gain and control his vast quantity of power whilst running his dictatorship on the farm. The book also clearly shows that, although groups often revolt upon one, single, other thing, it is commonly possible for that regime to re-assert itself once more under a different name. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 126.96.36.199 (talk • contribs) 23 June 2006, 16:00 (UTC)
I actually disaggree with the first comment; i believe that the book and George Orwell gives a meaning far from the question of whether life is important or not but rather, it gives a vivd insight and warning as to a world with a single focus and concentration of power onto one single and dictatory person. If anything, this has to be the thought that is hop[efully evoked by any readers of the book- is a concentration of power onto one person healthy or not. And, because of the superb way that the book it writte, the answer to this question is ambiguous and, therefore, leaves the reader to decide. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 188.8.131.52 (talk • contribs) 24 June 2006, 16:01 (UTC)
