Leaving Islam

Some one has happily placed merger notice on Leaving Islam to be merged with this Apostasy in Islam.

No issues in discussing merger, but haste was so fanatic that it stripped the nascent article of alphabetical template and section headings, besides claiming that there is only one quote.

Some one who would know topic of 'why and how of leaving Islam' being vehemently discussed by ex-Muslims and many of notable ex-Muslims is going to make a long list, that's why I started new article since I was going through their literature one by one.

Encyclopedic that is Wikiquote point of view, Islamic perspective and ex-Muslim perspective are supposed to be different that what would justify independent article secondly Apostasy in Islam is already reasonable bytes 29,573 and article looks fuller because of related formatting. Any case ex-Muslim side will overflow in bytes and overshadow if not sooner then soon enough.

There are many articles on parallel concepts. Still I am too neutral to have big issue but when I think of Muslims and ex-Muslims for both of them merging and compulsorily reading other side is silent torture.

Any ways those who wish to support merger please also let we know what would be preferred formatting, if alphabetical then how will you prefer to put existing content in A for Allah's name or it will be retained in Q for Quran?

Maybe you could start adding quotes here and then create a new article as soon as there are enough quotes? Leaving Islam is also the title of a book which could be confusing. A better title could be Former Muslims, Ex Muslims or Apostates of Islam? Sorting should be alphabetical, and quotes from Quran or Hadith should be in separate sections. Both perspectives (pro and contra) should be on the same page. If there is a separate page it should not be for a separate point of view, but for a separate topic (Quotes about/from Apostates could be a topic separate from Apostasy, just as the article Canadians is separate from the article Canada). --დამოკიდებულება (talk) 22:42, 8 August 2020 (UTC)
