Discussion[edit]

There are quotes listed under Sherlock Holmes as well. I would guess that these need to be moved there, and this space reserved for quotes from Doyle speaking as himself. — Bobby D. Bryant 18:40, 3 Nov 2004 (UTC)

I am in the process of moving the quotes that were here to the Sherlock Holmes page. I have also considered merging that page with this one, creating a section for Holmes stories, because most of the quotes likely to be encountered by Doyle would be from the Sherlock Holmes series, and it would probably minimize duplications. I await other ideas and opinions on the matter though, and probably wouldn't do this any time soon. A few duplicates are tolerable, and sometimes it can be desirable to have a few quotes on several different pages under different headings, to direct people to further material. ~ Kalki 22:11, 3 Nov 2004 (UTC)

Misattributed?[edit]

"It is stupidity rather than courage to refuse to recognize danger when it is close upon you." - I see this quote is attributed to A C Doyle frequently
