Transwiki merge[edit]

I have merged into this article the material transwikied from Big Brother (UK) Quotes through Transwiki:Big Brother (UK) quotes by Coredesat, per w:Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Big Brother (UK) Quotes. Note that the timezone of the dates is not identified, so the times may be off by as much as a day from expectations.

I would note that the material from WP was almost exactly the same as that already existing in the Wikiquote article. The only differences were:

  • One added line from "Big Brother 5".
  • All added lines from "Big Brother 7".
  • Seven of the first 8 lines added from "Big Brother 8".

The timing, the closely matched content, and the identical non-Wikiquote styles suggest that the same editors were involved in creating and editing both articles. Very little (if any) of this material strikes me as worth keeping, but I wanted to produce a current example of a fully transwikied article. ~ Jeff Q (talk) 11:11, 10 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

That's sort of my fault, the relevant AfD involved quite a few arguments for transwikiing the contents here. I don't handle transwikis very often, so I'll have to check and make sure content isn't already here before carrying out the next transwiki, whatever that might be. --Coredesat 19:14, 10 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I'm sorry, Coredesat. I didn't mean to criticize your effort. You did exactly what I would have done — executed the decision according to policy. In fact, the reason I completed this so quickly is because I appreciated the textbook example of a transwiki. It's not our fault the material itself probably isn't worth saving, but at least it's here now so that Wikiquotians can make that determination.
