Add topicDeleted the Ed.D. reference
[edit]-Deleted the Ed.D. reference. He has had a number of honorary degrees conferred upon him and, if I'm not mistaken, I don't believe honorary degrees are listed except under a subheading (which has been done on his Wikipedia page).Ebt66 (talk) 14:08, 7 July 2012 (UTC) -- I stand corrected. If I had done proper reading, I'd have seen it immediately. I feel like an idiot!Ebt66 (talk) 15:06, 7 July 2012 (UTC)
simpsons quote: who do you think voiced that character?
grey hair quote: thats from an episode of the cosby show.
This needs work
[edit]Half of the quotes are unsourced and half are misattributted. Surely there are some interesting things that he's actually said. I was just watching one of his routines and heard both "uphill both ways" and "I brought you into this world, and I can take you out," both of which have been often repeated. —Marshall19
-- The only real quotations here are from serious speaches he's given. Are we forgetting that 'Bill Cosby is a Very Funny Fellow?' There are plenty of recordings of his stand-up routines available -- check them out!
Dubious misattributions
[edit]I have removed the following quotes from The Simpsons. A fictional parody is not an actual attribution. These should not be included without citing reliable or noteworthy sources that seriously mistake these parodies for actual quotations of Mr. Cosby. ~ Ningauble 14:50, 5 May 2011 (UTC)
- Y'see, the kids, they listen to the rap music, which gives them the brain damage. With their hippin' and their hoppin', and their bippin', and their boppin'... so they don't know what the jazz is all about! You see, Jazz is like a Jello Pudding— no! Actually, it's more like Kodak film — no! Actually, jazz is like the new Coke; it'll be around forever! Heh heh heh...
- Spoof of Bill Cosby, The Simpsons, 'Round Springfield
- (Referring to Pokémon) Pokemon! Pokemon with the "pokey" and the "mon" and the thing where the guy comes out of the thing and then he (mumbles incoherently, flaps ears) falls on him zod om zod om!
- Spoof of Bill Cosby, The Simpsons, Children of a Lesser Clod
