I've seen this referenced around the web on various quote sites, but never actually giving a reference/citation.

"...it would be better for the true physics if there were no mathematicians on earth."

Do we know from whence the quote comes? Specific work, letter, etc. Context? Seems like he's maybe trying to make a specific point about mathematics (mathematics isn't the end-all, be-all everyone mkes it out to be?), just trying to figure out what, where why... 50.53.113.32 09:02, 11 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]
