Quote[edit]

A quote was removed claiming the author is sympathetic to Hindu-nationalism & the BJP, so not ideal in an About section - unless of extended length - as a response to Luce's journalism. Even if it would be true that he is sympathetic to the BJP (Elst himself claims that he is a critic of the BJP, see his wikiquote page for quotes on this), one's political views shouldn't matter. BJP is the ruling party in India, I don't think there is a rule on wikiquote that we allow only quotes from those sympathetic to the opposition party? The quote is mildly critical, but often the most interesting quotes are the critical ones. As Nigauble once said, There is no rule against quotes that express a point of view. If nobody actually had anything to say, there wouldn't be anything worth quoting. I have also added some other quotes so it is now of extended length. -- (talk) 21:55, 13 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
