I notice the quotes are almost all coming from those who did not experience est, and therefore are only talking from their belief of what they imagine it to be rather than the reality of what it is/was. To be certain, there were cult-like elements to it. AND if one could divorce themselves from that aspect, there were significant benefits to be gained.

The funny thing here is that those who attack the cult-like aspects of est somehow fail to grasp the cult-like aspects of so much of 'standard' life. The indoctrination of youth in church/synagogue/mosque; the patriotic indoctrination of youth via false history in grade school, etc. —This unsigned comment is by Coyote-1‎ (talk • contribs) .
