This George Eliot (Mary Ann Evans) was one of the first pages I created, but it should probably be moved entirely to the newer page George Eliot someone else has recently created. I am uncertain as to the best procedures for doing this, and of redirecting this page, or deleting it. Kalki 07:23, 4 Oct 2003 (UTC)

It is an oddity but the quotation marks appear as part of the title in all early editions of the poem "O May I Join The Choir Invisible", and in no other of Eliot's poems that I am aware of. Kalki 07:46, 4 Oct 2003 (UTC)
