the episode begins with Dug asking Carl if they could watch some fireworks for tonight Carl says no but the clever dog does a puppy please face Carl decides to they bring some deck chairs outside in The Starry Night Carl asks dug if he is afraid of the explosions during watching the fireworks and Dug replies no but is interrupted by the squirrel from the first episode he runs after it causing dug to make some chaos. during it, it jumps onto carl's chimmy and lands on Carl's face the squirrel jumps into the house while Carl slips on the grass before crashing onto Dug's doggie door losing his teeth in the process he scolds him to come back this instant and happily announces that he has a treat for him dug is too busy chasing after the squirrel but accidentally slips on carl's mopping water making a chance for the squirrel to escape he bangs onto the counter making him dizzy dug mumbles that this cannot go right before falling to the floor unconsciously. He then has a dream about appearing in heaven after he awakens, he remembers where he is and happily yells that he is as heaven he begins skipping around by seeing all the things he likes before he stops to see a vet that says 'closed' with a sign overjoyed, he passes the vet before 4 blocks away he sees a flower field.dug sniffs the flowers before skipping away however the flowers become alive dug realizes them before becoming horrified and screams that he does not want to live in heaven after all and runs away the flowers chases him before it becomes dark Dug stops to another flower field and to his horror, a speaking- Spanish  Flower revealing Carl appears dug quickly explains if Carl remembers him however speaks Spanish he speaks Spanish once more before yelling evilly,WOO HAHAHA!. Dug screams that he does not want to live here alone however his nightmare ended with a firework Carl appearing yelling Dug to wake up he wakens turning around wildly before Carl asked a question if he is all right he replies and they get into a short conversation Carl says to dug that he managed to get free from his doggie door and he was horrified to see him lying unconscious after the short conversation, the fireworks boom in the sky causing Dug to whimper afraidly. However, Carl have brought some headphones from the store before giving them to dug he tries them on and they work perfectly he and Dug resume watching the fireworks happily.
