Add topicJackie Deshannon did not write one word of bette Davis eyes this has been stated many times by Kim Carnes and Val Garay and her co writer who did write the lyrics, Donna Weiss. So if you are going to quote Jackie DO NOT use anything from Bette Davis Eyes as Jackie only wrote the melody, which Kim Carnes basically rewrote when she recorded it. If you want to hear Jackie's melody go listen to her lp New Arrangement which has some beautiful songs on it, some co written with Weiss. They have done beautiful work together.
