A Purple Place for Dying[edit]

Partial quote: "Education is something that should be apart from the necessities of earning a living, not a tool therefore." Shouldn't that be "therefor"? JDM didn't make English errors. It might be a misprint in the book. I don't have a copy at hand. Also, I remember that the final few sentences, where MacDonald breaks the fourth wall with the reader, are worthy of being quoted here.
