[edit]Why is this located at John Green (author) instead of John Green? There are other notable people named John Green, but none of them have a Wikiquote page, so why is this disambiguated? Nick1372 (talk) 17:07, 22 August 2013 (UTC)
- Thanks for pointing this out, I'll ask an admin to preform the move. Cheers ~ DanielTom (talk) 17:18, 22 August 2013 (UTC)
- As a general practice, we have titled our pages on biographical subjects to match the title of the Wikipedia article on that subject. This avoids confusion when linking to and from the Wikipedia article. BD2412 T 17:23, 22 August 2013 (UTC)
- Adjusting the link ([[w:John Green (author)|John Green]]) is more common, methinks. Having "(author)" in the title implies that we have other John Green articles, and we don't. (That's the confusion.) ~ DanielTom (talk) 17:29, 22 August 2013 (UTC)
- Don't forget that having a non-disambiguated title makes the URL smaller, something that makes it easier to directly travel to this article from an outside source. Nick1372 (talk) 18:50, 22 August 2013 (UTC)
- I would suggest, then, raising the issue for community consideration at the Village Pump. BD2412 T 19:23, 22 August 2013 (UTC)
