Erroneous quotation

This article originally contained the following quote, which was stated to be from Cheney's book Telling the Truth (1995): "Public figures tell us one thing today and another tomorrow, and blithely accuse those who point out the inconsistencies of an excess of literalism." It turns out, however, that the quotation is from a publisher's advertisement for the book, as seen here.
