I think the quote from William Westmoreland needs to stand on its own, without the editorial "why" and probably without the "Suggested" heading. Possibly simply the quote, followed by the attribution and when. e.g. "William Westmoreland, on the day of..."

You seem to be unfamiliar with the purpose of these "date" pages on Wikiquote, which is to select quotes for "Quote of the Day" for that date. William Westmoreland should indeed have a page here, but thus far the editors available have involved themselves with other pages. ~ Kalki 01:29, 21 October 2009 (UTC)
