I am not sure it is kinda right to say that he actually was employed by the WP:Met Office. All weather forecasters at the BBC were and are and are supplied by the Met Office (it used to be the Meteorlogical Office, but it offically changed its name, it is still actually technically part of the Ministry of Defence for reasons that need not be explained). It is not incorrect, but maybe undue to say so. WP:Charlotte Green is a good counterexample because she read the WP:Shipping Forecast and was loved for it, but she was and is a BBC freelancer but never employed by the Met Office nor the BBC, she just read it (beautifully). Most BBC weather presenters are employed by the Met Office not the BBC, and are contracted to the BBC. SimonTrew (talk) 06:28, 22 April 2016 (UTC)Reply
