Not original to this film

[edit]

The Yamamoto "sleeping giant" quote is taken from the 1970 film Tora! Tora! Tora!, and the Roosevelt "date which will live in infamy" speech is a close paraphrase of portions of President Roosevelt's 8 December 1941 address to Congress. Neither one should be attributed as a quote from this film, about which critic Roger Ebert wrote, "The film has been directed without grace, vision, or originality, and although you may walk out quoting lines of dialog, it will not be because you admire them." Credit for these memorable lines does not belong to this unoriginal film, so I have removed them from the article. ~ Ningauble 16:19, 12 October 2010 (UTC)Reply
