I'm not sure about the quote, "Government is a disease masquerading as its own cure." I found an archived version of the cited source here: https://web.archive.org/web/20080208081225/http://www.financialsense.com/fsu/editorials/steer/2007/0805.html But, although it begins with the quote in question, it gives no source or attribution, and LeFevre's name appears nowhere. I myself have had little luck chasing down LeFevre as the origin of this phrase, and the earliest example I can find of it is in L. Neil Smith's 1980 novel The Probability Broach.
