Copying website material

I have removed the material copied from the quote collection at MuseumOfIdiots.com (MOI) because it is a copyright violation. Wikimedia projects may not include substantial excerpts from sources that do not explicitly include a release under GFDL or Creative Commons licenses. MOI's page does not have such a license statement. Assertions by Wikiquote editors that the site owner "does not mind" are inherently unsourceable personal testimony that cannot serve as a substitute for a proper license.

Even if this critical hurdle is passed, quotes should include explicit citations of reliable sources, and MOI is not a reliable source by Wikimedia standards. Furthermore, there is no attempt in that site to provide original sources or any context whatsoever for the quotes.

Wikiquote takes copyrights seriously. The French Wikiquote was shutdown last year for copyright violations, and has only recently been restarted, from scratch.
