Deletions on false reasons

[edit]

Rupert loup's "reason" for deletions was fails WQ:CRITICISM), that is, the rules about Quotes containing criticism of other people.

This is again a completely false reason: The quotes are from Wahiduddin Khan, and not from Shourie, and also Shourie is not criticizing Wahiduddin Khan, but he is praising him. Wahiduddin Khan is a moderate and liberal Muslim, and Shourie in his book is praising him for his liberal views.

And many quotes were deleted without any even edit summary or discussion: for example here

According to Wikiquote:Manual_of_style#Citation_style, Additional citations (one or two) can be useful as long as they don't clutter too much. They can be useful for

  1. online verification (if it is an online source)
  2. to help the reader find additional context and discussion about a quote
  3. or simply to acknowledge as a matter of fairness the source where the quote was actually found

and should not have been deleted.
