The Black Sleep is a 1956 film about a 19th-century doctor who kidnaps living people and experiments on their brains, while they are still alive but under the influence of a powerful anesthetic, in an effort to discover a way to cure his wife's brain tumor. Directed by Reginald Le Borg. Written by John C. Higgins, based on a story by Gerald Drayson Adams.
