The Crunch Bird

The Crunch Bird is an animated short by Ted Petok, Joe Petrovich, and Len Maxwell. It won the 1971 Academy Award for Best Animated Short Film. Joe Petrovich animated the cartoon. Len Maxwell provided the voices for the husband, wife, and pet shop owner.

Pet Shop owner: Perhaps you would like a dog?

Wife: No, He wouldn't like a doggy.

Pet Shop owner: Well, Uh... How's about a pussy cat?

[The cat smiles]

Wife: A pussy cat? A pussy cat I know he wouldn't like.

Pet Shop owner: Okay, Uh... How's about a cute little monkey poo?

Wife: Nah.
