The Wraith is a 1986 American action/science fiction film about a mysterious driver who stalks a motor gang in Arizona and is later revealed as one of their victims, now back from the dead and out for revenge.

Written and directed by Mike Marvin. Starring Charlie Sheen, Sherilyn Fenn, and Nick Cassavettes.

Dialogue

[Rughead is horrified that the mysterious black car destroyed Packard's garage]
Sheriff Loomis: Kind of a mess now, don't you think?
Rughead: The Gutterboy and Skank... They were... they were right there. And it's like they vaporized! They were adiosed by the kid in the turbo. I warned 'em! I warned 'em!
Loomis: What are you trying to say, boy?
Rughead: [coughs] That Skank and Gutterboy were in there when the place blew. [cries] I know it seems impossible. I didn't know they had a kid in the car. I didn't know it was Jamie Hankins till he came up missing.
Loomis: So, what you're telling me is that Packard and the others killed Jamie Hankins?
Rughead: Jamie Hankins was here the other night with a shotgun!
Loomis: A dead kid with a shotgun?
Rughead: I seen his eyes, Loomis. I seen his eyes... And I got a real bad feeling.
Loomis: Bad feelings don't add up to resurrections, buddy. If it was Jamie Hankins, why'd they kill him off in the first place?
Rughead: I've been too scared to say nothin'. Packard hated Jamie. Packard hates everybody. He hates me. I don't wanna get killed over something I had nothing to do with. Not now.
Loomis: You go on home now and... You stay there till you hear from me, eh?
[Jake has just dropped off Keri at her house, not knowing that Packard is staking her out]
Keri Johnson: [having kissed Jake] Look Jake, Packard knew I was here with you... I mean, people are afraid of him for a reason.
Jake Kesey: People are afraid because guys like Packard prey on fear and weakness.
Keri: Well, I just think he's crazy. Try and be brave against Packard, and he might kill you.
Jake: Or he might let you go. Courage isn't easy to come by. Besides, he keeps those goons with him all the time. They're just scared.
Keri: So am I.
Jake: Keri, listen. There's gonna come a time when you'll have to take a stand. That's when you'll free yourself of him. No sooner.
Keri: I want to believe you. I really do. Good night.
Jake: Hey, Keri. There's a place in the Willow River [Keri laughs] Probably want to go up there with me tomorrow...
Keri: You like living dangerously, don't you?
Jake: You wanna go?
Keri: Yes, I do.
Jake: Good night.
Keri: Night.
[Jake drives off with Packard tailing him, but when Jake enters a dark area of the street]
Packard: [stops the car as he sees the lights of the motorcycle suddenly split off] No way!
[having revealed his true identity to Keri and eliminated Packard, Jake goes to Big Kay's Burgers, where Billy is cleaning up before closing for the night]
Billy Hankins: [prepares to strike with baseball bat] Come on, Packard!
Jake Kesey: Relax.
Billy: You scared me, man!
Jake: I'm sorry, man.
Billy: It's been a heavy day already. [sets bat aside]
Jake: I can see that. It's time for me to hit the road. My business here is finished. Before I do, I want you to have something. [gives keys to Billy] She's yours now.
Billy: Who's mine?
Jake: [walks to the door] It's outside. Turbo Interceptor. The only one in existence. Does very special things. Take care of it, will you?
Billy: [as Jake opens door] Who are you, bro?
Jake: You said it, Billy. [Billy is curious] I gotta go.
Billy: [chases him out] Hey, man, wait a minute! Where you going? Where you going?!
Jake: Hey Billy, the instructions are in the glove compartment! [rides off]
Billy: [runs out] Wait a minute! Come back! Come back, bro! [walks back and sees the Turbo Interceptor] Whoa. Ha ha! Whoa! Hey, man, far out. [calls out] Hey, Jake, who are you? [an idea suddenly hits him] It couldn't have been... [gets emotional] Jake...Jake... JAMIE!!!!
