Quotes
[edit]- Con el honor le vencí,
porque siempre los villanos
tienen su honor en las manos,
y siempre miran por sí;
que por tantas variedades,
es bien que se entienda y crea,
que el honor se fue al aldea
huyendo de las ciudades.- Through his honour
I conquered him, and always, with these peasants
They hold their honour in both hands, and look
To their own honour first. For honour
Was forced, by so much falsity and fraud,
To leave the city for the countryside. - El Burlador de Sevilla (1630), act 3 (Tr. Roy Campbell)
- Through his honour
