Hanlon's razor is an aphorism which means "Never attribute to malice that which is adequately explained by stupidity".

In Wikiquote, there are often discussions of a group or cabal of editors who supposedly control the wiki and its opinions. This, plainly, isn't true, and won't ever be. No person or group of peoples (unless you count Stewards) ever has absolute control over Wikiquote. Everyone is dumb sometimes, and as a contributor it's best to accept that.

If an editor makes an incorrect revert or action, it's best to assume that the editor had done this in good faith, rather than flipping the table, spitting the dummy, and calling them a evil biased commie vandal.

Always remember that everybody makes mistakes, and this is no exception to Wikiquote. I've made a few. Heck, even admins make mistakes sometimes, see Kalki's accidental block on theirself (twice).

If you're in this kind of situation, it's usually just best to assume good faith and point out the error in a civil way.
