Um, hi. I'm echomikeromeo, also known as EMR, also known as Emily. I live in San Diego, California and I'm almost 15 years old. I like collaborative projects a lot, and in addition to being here I've got an account on Wikipedia.

Some of my interests: I'm a rabid Anglophile, and so I love British history, British films, British books, and pretty much anything English or British. My favourite author is John Mortimer, the author of the Rumpole books; he's also my hero for writing such cool books, for being a generally cool person, and for heading the defense in the Lady Chatterley's Lover case, which was a milestone for free speech.

In general, I love useless facts, especially when they've got to do with history, literature, etc. I'm on my school's Academic League team and that's one of my true loves in life. The other one is spending vast amounts of time online, something I unfortunately don't get a whole lot of time to do, due to the fact that it can only happen when my mother is off the computer. ;-)

I'm also incredibly into Latin and Ancient Roman history. I'm in my third year of learning the language, I head up a Latin department on h2g2, and I've got an account on the Latin "Vikipaedia".

Music: I like folk and traditional music. I'm a hard-core traditionalist when it comes to music and I can't stand for electric instruments at all. Some of my favourite artists and bands include Ian & Sylvia, the Brobdingnagian Bards, Cherish the Ladies, Peter Paul & Mary and David Coffin (the best singer in the world even though no one's ever heard of him).

So, what else can I say? I'm a nerd, but I still like to have fun and my sense of humor tends a bit towards the bawdy, so you really want to stay away from my friends and me when we get going.

Oh, yes, and I really like to talk about myself. :-)
