The Alan Hovhaness International Research Centre is located in and chartered by the Yegishe Charents Museum of Literature and Art in Yerevan, Armenia. Three associate archives have been developed at The Library of Congress, Washington, D.C., USA; The University of Washington, Seattle, Washington, USA; and the Armenian Cultural Foundation, Arlington, Massachusetts, USA.

The Alan Hovhaness International Research Centre is a resource for scholars, researchers, music lovers, and all interested in the music and history of composer Alan Hovhaness. The Centre's continually growing collection presently contains over 3,700 individual research items.
