- Definition
- Many templates automatically put the page where they are used into a category. Category suppression allows an example of such a template to be placed on a page without automatically adding the page to any categories.
- In general documentation
- To display the template on a page without adding the page to categories, just add
|categories=noas the last parameter for the template and (assuming the template supports category suppression correctly) the template will not add the page to any categories. For example, the {{Delete}} template (which has no other parameters) can be displayed by putting{{Delete|categories=no}}on the page. - In documentation of a template
- Using this template on a page automatically adds the page to Category:CATNAME. To display a sample of the template without adding the page to the category, use
{{TEMPNAME|categories=no}}.

Collapsible sections[edit]
These don't seem to work the same here as at Wikipedia (where they work at all), which is most likely due to CSS and JS differences. Some bits seem to work well enough to be somewhat useful.

This puts the button on the right at Wikipedia. Does it work here?
Evidently not, though it is used regularly at Wikipedia.
Meta style[edit]
Based on m:Template:Hidden, renders oddly, as with "Collapsible wikitable" it fails to put the button on the right.
