Bell inscriptions

Below, in chronological order, are inscriptions of bells which have hung in Notre-Dame. Often there were two inscriptions—an upper inscription, usually of a benediction message, and a lower inscription of when, where, or by whom the bell was cast. Sometimes this was all in one inscription.
